MSP Airport Fire Department
The MSP Airport Fire Department’s dedicated firefighters provide a fast response to emergency calls, 24 hours-a-day.
Our team of 55 full-time, highly skilled, and dedicated firefighters is available to respond to emergency situations in the MSP airfield, surrounding areas, rivers, parks, and roadways. Each year, we receive an average of over 3,000 emergency calls, and we take pride in protecting the 31 million passengers who pass through MSP annually, as well as the 20 thousand employees working at MSP.
The department is well-equipped with rescue vehicles designed for airport use and specialized equipment for a broad range of emergencies. The fire department staff also ensure life safety in MSP buildings through fire code compliance and construction permitting.
