Salary: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week, one day out of every weekend.
Job Description:
As a Diesel Truck Maintenance Technician/Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on our fleet of diesel trucks. Your role will include light electrical work, tire and brake maintenance, oil changes, charging system diagnostics and repairs, as well as general repairs to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks.
- Perform light electrical repairs, including lights and charging systems.
- Maintain and repair tires, brakes, and perform oil changes.
- Repair roll-up doors and replace door springs.
- Work on water pumps, belts, hoses, and fluid changes.
- Check and maintain fluid levels and conduct general repairs.
- Perform light hydraulic work as needed.
- Respond to maintenance needs, especially during winter months, which may require early morning shifts to start trucks in below-zero temperatures.
Qualifications/Experience
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or technician.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and maintenance practices.
- Proficient in diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Proficient in diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and early mornings during winter.
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- One year of work on Diesel Trucks (required).
