The Director, Airline Contracts is responsible for leading, supporting and directing day to day airline operations by planning, leading, organizing, staffing and overall management of operations. The Director, Airline Contracts is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operations of airline contracts, achieving operational goals, and fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance to achieve company goals
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment
  • Provide leadership, support, and direction to the operations team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
  • Be an inspiring leader focused on delivering safe, consistent and high quality operational performance
  • Provide input regarding RFP responses
  • Be a key contributor to the company safety program
  • Lead a safety centric culture though consistent execution and implementation of company programs and processes
  • Communicate throughout departments to ensure that teams are informed
  • Create and maintain a positive culture
  • Ensure IHS operations are in compliance with all company policies and procedures, and adhere to the company’s mission
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Develop teams to improve work performance and maximize potential through planning, coaching, training and mentoring
  • Proactively communicate with the President to ensure consistent understanding of goals and requirements
  • Act as a liaison between IHS and customers and government entities
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws
  • Related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Aviation Management, Business Administration or related field
  • 5-7 years airline experience
  • 3-5 years leadership experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing operational environment and maintain flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
  • Thorough knowledge of ground handling business operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented, excellent organizational and consistency skills
  • Ability to lead a team-oriented environment
  • Aptitude for utilizing resources efficiently to support teams in executing their duties
