In compliance with the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 – Section 42301, MSP Airport has published its Tarmac Delay Contingency Plan. United States airports are required by the Department of Transportation (DOT) to have a plan providing for:

  • The deplanement of passengers
  • The sharing of terminal facilities and gate management
  • Provision of a sterile area for passengers who have not cleared US Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
