SouthWest Transit recently announced enhanced service to MSP Airport with more frequent trips and extended hours. The 686 route will begin operations on March 31 and include stops along the I-494 corridor between MSP Airport and SouthWest Transit’s Eden Prairie, Minn. station.
Buses to MSP will operate seven days a week, from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. The new route will feature two service patterns: the Local service (686L) – with stops at 17 locations along the I-494 corridor – and the Express service (686X), which will only have one stop (Mall of America) between the SouthWest Station and MSP’s terminals.
The new route will ultimately replace SouthWest Transit’s existing on-demand service to MSP, which will remain available until April 26.
Meanwhile, Landline’s shuttle service connecting MSP to Hector International Airport in Fargo, N.D. will discontinue on March 17. Landline will maintain its ground transportation service between MSP and Duluth, Minn. For more information, visit https://landline.com/.
