Overnight Road Closures at MSP Airport to Occur this Weekend
Overnight road closures at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International (MSP) Airport’s Terminal 1-Lindbergh will occur this weekend.
Starting Friday, May 12 at 10 p.m. through Saturday, May 13 at 5 a.m., and then again Saturday at 10 p.m. through Sunday, May 14 at 5 a.m., the road used to exit Terminal 1 will be closed. Motorists leaving Terminal 1 will be detoured onto the south lane of the entrance road during these timeframes. The entrance and exit roads will each be reduced to one open lane.
The road closures are necessary to accommodate construction of a skyway linking the airport’s new InterContinental hotel – scheduled to open summer 2018 - to the terminal. The work is being performed overnight to lessen the impact on traffic.
