Minnesota air travelers flying out of MSP Airport’s Terminal 1 will soon be able to again save themselves a trip to a DVS, deputy registrar or driver’s license agent office and apply for their REAL ID at the airport.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Driver and Vehicle Services division (DPS-DVS) will open the REAL ID office pre-security at Terminal 1 on the mezzanine of the Green Parking Ramp. The office is easily accessed by parking in the Green or Gold ramps and taking the elevator to the Skyway Level (Floor 3) or by taking the skyway from the Ticketing area.
The office will accept REAL ID applications Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by appointment only. Minnesotans should pre-apply and then make an appointment at Terminal 1 by visiting this link. You must be a ticketed passenger for the day you make your appointment. More information can be found at drive.mn.gov.
Minnesotans wishing to use their State ID to board a domestic commercial flight after May 3, 2023 will need to have a REAL ID or other compliant form of identification. Learn more here.
As with all indoor public areas in Minnesota, face coverings are required at MSP and while visiting the REAL ID office at Terminal 1.
