JOB SUMMARY
The Seasonal Ramp Agent position is responsible for supporting peak season operations. Specifically, seasonal agents are accountable for preparing for aircraft arrival and departure; the proper and accurate handling of customer baggage which may include the loading and unloading, operation of ground service equipment, and marshaling in and pushing back aircraft. We practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Prepare for aircraft arrival and departure by readying equipment such as tow vehicles, wheel chocks, and belt-loaders; taking positions; ensure ramp areas are safe and free of Foreign Objects Debris (FOD)
- Safely and efficiently load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail of various weight and dimensions to and from aircraft and airport baggage areas
- After training, operate/drive ground service equipment to service the aircraft and its passengers; this includes heavy, motorized machinery/equipment including, but not limited to tugs, tractors, belt loaders, bag carts, pushback tractors, deicers, etc.
- Marshal aircraft to and from gates (e.g. directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing, and towed aircraft)
- Service aircraft as needed (e.g. interior cleaning and supply replenish, aircraft lavatories, window wash, potable water, and deicing)
- Responsible for aircraft security searches as required
- Timely report safety and operational issues, including equipment requiring service
- Follow safety regulations, which include the proper use of ground service equipment and wearing proper safety items
- Other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
- Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to pass a continuous driving records check
- Ability to utilize computers and mobile technology to complete trainings and perform work duties
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to be on a remote location for extended periods of time in outdoor elements
- Pass a post-offer pre-employment background check, including airport security clearance and a fingerprint-based background and criminal history record check required by federal law
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an MSP SIDA badge with a CBP Seal

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates outdoors in all kinds of weather, this includes extreme cold and heat and in all types of precipitation. While working on the ramp this position will be exposed to the extreme noise of aircraft arriving and departing.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. This position will be required to occasionally push/pull up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Seasonal required availability is as follows. You will be expected to work the number of shifts identified below. Each shift is scheduled for 5 hours. Requirements may change based on operational needs:
Spring Break - 4 shifts/week (20 hours) Mid-February through Mid-April
Summer - 3 shifts/week (15 hours) Thursday prior to Memorial Day through Labor Day
MEA - 3 total shifts (15 hours) Tuesday prior to MEA through Tuesday after MEA (MEA is 3rd Thursday in October)
Thanksgiving - 4 total shifts (20 hours) Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving through Tuesday after
Holidays - 4 shifts/week (20 hours) 2 Sundays prior to Christmas Day through first week in January
