Mobile enrollment sessions coming soon for NEXUS
If you travel frequently between the United States and Canada, you have an upcoming opportunity to enroll in NEXUS -- a bi-national program that enables quick and easy entry for travelers into either country.
From April 30 to May 2, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will conduct mobile NEXUS enrollment sessions at two locations in the Twin Cities area.
The NEXUS program allows pre-screened travelers expedited processing when entering the U.S. and Canada. NEXUS members use dedicated processing lanes at designated land border ports of entry, NEXUS kiosks when entering Canada by air, and Global Entry kiosks when entering the United States.
NEXUS also offers access to TSA Pre-Check security checkpoint lines for both domestic and international travel. Additionally, NEXUS members also receive expedited processing at marine reporting locations.
NEXUS is open to citizens and lawful permanent residents of either country. The program costs $50 for a five-year adult membership, and is free for children under age 18.
Additional information about Trusted Traveler programs, and deciding which one is best for you, can be found here.
Online applications for the mobile NEXUS enrollment sessions in the Twin Cities must be completed by Friday, April 12, 2019. You can access a NEXUS application and find additional information at this website.
After you complete that process, you will be able to book an interview at one of the two NEXUS mobile enrollment locations listed below.
